Baggage Door

This is another section that seems to go on and on with little or no major visual images to show for it.  The baggage door was easy to build but a little difficult to install.  Other steps for the right baggage cover and the baggage bulkhead were more straight forward and presented no major problems.

Step 5 (page 34-6) presented an interesting rivet call out. The seat back brace is not shown for clarity but the fact that the seat back brace is there, created a nearly impossible rivet at the intersection of the baggage frame, just forward of the hinge pin to the door.  One of the rivets ended up being a cherry max blind rivet because there was just no other way to do it.  Overall a fairly easy section except for step 5 .
