Tail Cone Attach
This section was entirely up to the builder. An exciting part of project, we took our tail feathers and mated it with the QB fuselage. This was not an easy step. We underestimated the size, bulkiness, and weight of the two separate pieces. We recommend that when you get to this part of your project you gather a few of your friends...many hands make light work!
The difficulties we found at this point were in fitting the under-skins and associated tabs correctly. Once we accomplished that alignment, we had some issues with the skin near the baggage door opening. The mating caused some stress on the narrow skin to the right of the baggage door opening. After a few re-attacks on the narrow skin, we were able to align it with minimized stress on the area.
