Wing Tip Cutting the wing tip fairings to fit was essentially and cut, check fit, cut task. The first one took a bit longer than the second. Use of a cutting wheel, after marking, made the job easier. The use of a very large (self made) 'nail file' made the finish fit a bit easier. The thing we didn't expect was the lack of a a matched shaping to the wing. This was the case on either side and after calls to Vans and much more extensive research on other builders sites, we found this wasn't as unusual as Vans made it sound. We took a hack saw blade and cut the trailing edge of each wing tip back enough to secure the required shaping. Then as you can see we glued them in place...and reset the wing tip rib.
